The Yellow House
A 1940's colonial in West Virginia that is slowly being renovated and restored. The Yellow House was once a bed and breakfast called "The Spiced Apple". The pamphlet for The Spiced Apple read: "Enjoy charming country lodging in a quaint village...Old-fashioned hospitality welcomes the crowd-weary traveler with a cheerful room, private bath and breakfast amidst rural quiet." So, welcome, crowd-weary travelers of the internet. The door to the Yellow House is always open, and I hope that you find a bit of that rural quiet -and inspiration for your own lodging- in these pages.
About Chelsea
I am married to the love of my life and fulfiller of my project ideas, Ben. We have three little boys that fill The Yellow House with sunshine and energy. I am learning that when I lean into the craziness of this season of mothering, I discover the real joy of what we are doing. On this blog I share the beautiful and enriching side of home life as I know it: whether it is the occasional DIY, updates on our renovation projects, stories of homeschooling, my latest thrift store find...I hope that our journey of making a house a home can similiarly inspire others. Thank you for being here, I truly hope you pull up a chair and stay awhile!
